The Now Show was fun. I liked the line about Britain having a climate with ADD. But the highlight of it was Mitch Benn's musical plea to keep the X Factor travesty from No. 1.
The programme is available as a podcast now.

I switched on Radio 4. Bloody Pam Ayres again! Is no one safe?
What is baffling is the riotous cackling of the audience, who greet each creaky joke (if you cannot spot the coming punchline at the very start of her “jokes”, you really should be tested for brain death) with howls of laughter. The must be pumping nitrous oxide into the venue.

Just started on Radio 4 is a programme of “humour” so creaky it makes me long for up-to-date, cutting-edge stuff like Round The Horne or ITMA. The continuity announcer claimed that “Pam Ayres entertains”, which is as far from the truth as it is possible to get. I think I would rather listen to Making Tracks.
